1930's Paragon De Luxe.

Tenor banjo serial No **2 - rosewood construction with ebony fingerboard - very ornate mother of pearl inlays - pearl tuner knobs. Highly engraved gold plated metalware, scalloped tension hoop with carved heel and marquetry design on the back of the resonator. (Ex owner F.C. Bowler). A work of art by Marco Roccia in superb and original condition!

I was told years ago that only 27 Paragon Deluxe banjos were made - the majority being plectrum with a few 5 string and tenors. It is not suprising when the cost in 1930's was sixty pounds! If anyone can add to the very little knowledge I have on this model it would be much appreciated and be passed on to Kevin Casey's Paragon Club site, as listed in the links page.
