This site is intended for your enjoyment, to see and appreciate the craftsmanship and artistry involved in building banjos. Many of the banjos shown are modern. The yardstick of a good instrument for me and for my collection is quality and workmanship, originality and condition, playability and sound - not just whistles and bells - although they are very much an added bonus! 

I do not profess to be a banjo expert, but I have experience and a good general knowledge to help identify a maker or suggest where spare parts may be obtained.

As with any form of collecting, there comes a time when a "clear out" is necessary, and I will be listing tutorials, hardware, accessories, cases, and maybe even the occasional banjo for sale or exchange.
